Using the simple techniques described in this article, we are now able to find a trace file, read it using the TRACEFILE_XT read-only external table, profile it with preprocessor external tables over TKProf or OraSRP and read the reports without leaving our IDE once. We can even read HTML reports in a browser window generated from within SQL*Plus without any additional keystrokes.
